I had to go out of town for 4 days. I can't hire a pet sitter for her unless I want them to come four or five times a day, which would be insanity and I can't afford, because she wolfs down her food and then throws it up, so I just give her little bits throughout the day. So I set this up for four feedings a day (slightly larger than the feedings I give her, but I just had too much going on to study how to change the portion size), and I had it set up to alert me when there was motion so that I could see her at the bowl. Gave me so much peace of mind!!! (Worrying about her would have ruined the entire trip.) Now that I'm home I'll go back to feeding her myself, because I enjoy it. But I feel so secure knowing that I have this for future trips.Update 2 months later: About to go away for a few days and pulled this out of the box to get it set up again. I was worried that it might not reconnect again or something. But nope, connected right away, camera working immediately! 🙂

This was so easy to set up and easily integrated with the Tuya app that I already use for many of my other smart devices. You can determine how much food you want dispensed, as well as setting up a feeding schedule. The hopper is big enough to store a few days worth of food as well. While it’s marketed as a cat food dispenser, it also works well for dogs. Can be used with the included power supply, or with batteries, which is nice as a backup or for travel. Very impressed with how quickly and easily this was able to be set up and used by the pups!
